Fused Glass Magnet Workshop

In this fun and easy class, we’ll explore layering glass powders, frits, and murrini to create floral landscape magnets.

Class includes instruction and materials to complete three magnets. No experience is necessary.

You will design the magnets in class. Students return later to pick up the completed projects.

Kid friendly. Beginner. No experience necessary.

This In-Person WORKSHOP includes all materials needed to complete the project. You provide the snacks!

Workshop is for 1-4 people (additional spots can be added).

This project is creating THREE Fused Glass magnets. You will learn basics of glass handling, simple glass cutting, and work with a variety of glass products like stringers, powders, and murrini. You will NOT leave the class with completed magnets. The instructor will take your decorated glass and fire them in a kiln to 1350° and return your finished magnets to you in 5-7 days after class.

This class is suitable for kids 8+.

This Instructor Led workshop will go through the assembly process for this project. All materials will be provided. Once your date and time are confirmed, you will receive a safety sheet and waiver to be reviewed before class.

Instructor led workshop is approximately 45-60 minutes. Please allow an additional 15-20 minutes for set up and clean up.

What to Wear/Bring: Casual, comfortable attire; you will be standing and sitting during class. Closed toe shoes, please. All materials and access to required tools will be provided. You must bring a mask for this workshop, as glass powders will be in use during class (you only have to wear the mask while powders are in use).
